Investigative Journalism at NC State: Part II

Media Day

Directors Cut

Press Release

It gives me moderate pleasure to announce to you tonight that starting next week, I will be the subject of a season long venture of avant-garde documentary filmmaking cleverly entitled, Quarterbacking with Caleb Pressley.

This idea was brought to me by our media relations liaison, Kevin Best. One thing you should know about Kevin is that he was once a savant pianist who turned out to be a musical bust of Jamarcus Russell-like proportions. Furthermore, you should know that he is also one of the main men behind the ever-politically and socially correct, Although it is true that these weekly documentary videos will be published through the university athletic website—rather than my own independent site—I do not want anyone to fall under the misconception that I am now a sellout. Not that I wouldn’t have cashed in if I had the opportunity, but unfortunately I did not. As it turns out, NCAA rules do not allow its athletes to be compensated for any performance that is captured by high-definition camera and then offered to a wide range of NCAA-funding fans.

The content of the documentary videos will vary from week to week; yet, my ultimate hope is that they will all come together in the end to offer an inside look at what it takes to be an ACC Quarterback. I am looking forward to a fun, stimulating, and successful season, and I hope that you will all, at the very least, pretend that you watch the videos if you ever see me in person.

Until next time,

P.S. Next time will be next Wednesday at

What’s Up!

What’s up everybody! I know, it’s been too long. I’m sorry. I’ve been staying pretty busy with school, spring ball, and House of Cards, so I haven’t had much time to write on here. However, there are a couple things I want to share with you. One is Monday’s UNC Sports Xtra feature story. It is only two minutes, but I think it turned out well. Due to the short length, and overall obscene nature of my comments, most of the enlightening things I said were cut out. However, it does still include a shot of me making a nice, nonchalant two-handed grab in practice, which is a plus.

The next video I would like to show you is from the Signing Day Live festivities from way back in February. I had the opportunity to host the Player Panel portion of the evening, that that is what the video is of. I have actually been meaning to post it on here for a while, but I kept on forgetting. It is a little long, but so was Titanic, and you guys liked that just fine.

Lastly, I would like to make a Crib Call. This one goes out to an old teammate at “the” A.C. Reynolds High School. He is probably one of the smarter ones out of all my former teammates because after high school, he dropped the brain-damaging, collision sport of football and began a career as a professional lothario. What I mean by that is that he has been doing country music for a few years now, and his fan base has been building daily. I strongly encourage you guys to listen, and see what he is all about. This one goes out to you Luke Combs. You, my friend, are CRIB!

Until next time,

P.S. I also would like to inform the general public that I recently acquired an Instagram. Ratchet imagery shall ensue.
